- Gas cylinders and relief devices
- Gas properties and hazards
- Cylinder handling (including manual handling procedures)
- Cylinder storage
- Leak checking
- Complaint cylinders
- Manifolds
- Procedures in the event of fire
The above topics are covered by slideshow presentation and will also include video footage. This is followed by a practical demonstration of connecting regulators and achieving gas tight seals and handling of cylinders. A question and answers session comes next covering the topics presented and also any other concerns with compressed gases.
At the end of the course, participants will be;
- aware of the hazards of working with and around compressed gas cylinders.
- aware of best operating practise on relevant topics and understand the standards associated with gas equipment as prescribed by the BCGA. (British Compressed Gas Association) and EIGA (European Industrial Gas Association).
Following the conclusion of the course there is a quiz for all candidates.
