CAP Community of Practice – Digital Technology for Diverse Learners: Designing with care, access, and inclusion

What does meaningful use of digital technology look like when it is grounded in inclusion, accessibility, and respect for diverse ways of learning?

Join this in person Community of Practice session focused on the Certificate in Personal Development programme, where practitioners share and explore how digital technologies can support learners with intellectual disabilities in ways that are practical, ethical, and learner-centred.

We will explore real examples of using digital technologies to respond to varied learner needs, such as supporting comprehension, choice-making, routine-building, and creative expression while maintaining clarity, simplicity, and dignity.

The session will also reflect on where digital tools genuinely enhance learning and where low-tech or non-digital approaches remain the better choice.
