TEL Community of Practice: Dr. Irene McCormick

Using video production as a teaching and assessment tool.

Our next TEL Community of Practice will be a hybrid event. It will take place on campus on Thursday 24th of February at 1pm (finger food available from 12.45pm) in the Growth Hub, Room F10 on the Cork Rd campus, and online on Zoom.

This session is presented by Dr. Irene McCormick who had 20 years experience as a primetime TV producer/director under her belt before coming into Higher Education in 2007. Irene melds Teaching & Learning expertise with practitioner experience to eulogise about the merits of using a smart phone as an assessment tool.

She’ll present case studies and show evidence of the growing popularity of creating video artefacts as assessment materials and how it works for the students and lecturers.

And…….if that’s boring she can just tell us what Hugh Grant was like as a guest on her show.

Tea, coffee and finger food will be available from 12.45pm with the session kicking off at 1pm.

This event is being delivered in a hybrid mode – please select ticket type
