Health & Safety Awareness Training for Managers
This programme will provide managers with an overview of their roles and responsibilities for the day-to-day practical concerns of integrating H&S into their departments. The training will cover:
- Health & safety responsibilities – discussing the specific duties and obligations outlined in the legislation.
- Legislation – understanding the legal framework specifically the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005, and its implications for managers.
- University safety management framework – to include departmental safety statements and risk assessments.
- Annual safety audit compliance checklist.
The training will be delivered by Mary O’ Doherty, Health & Safety Officer Waterford and Emer Bell, Health & Safety Officer Carlow via MS Teams (meeting link will be circulated prior to the session).
