TEL Community of Practice – Supporting Educators of International Protection Learners via Online Learning
Welcome back to our community of practitioners!
Our next Community of Practice event “Supporting Educators of International Protection Learners via Online Learning“ takes place at 1pm on Tuesday September 17th.
In this CoP session, we are joined by Clare Martin, Learning Technologist at the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL) to discuss the significant challenges faced by people under or seeking international protection in Ireland.
English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL) classes play a vital role in facilitating their successful integration into Irish society, but some teachers can be at a loss as to where to start. A central focus of this discussion is the sudden critical need for an online resource tailored for educators of this cohort of learners.
There will be an opportunity for discussion, and questions and answers at the end of the presentation.
This will be a hybrid event hosted in the Growth Hub, Cork Road Campus and on Zoom. We will be producing a recording of the event to be shared shortly afterward.
Tea, coffee, and refreshments will be provided during the event.
